Wire
Wrapping
Lapidary meets Artistry
Wire wrapping has been in existence for thousands of years, utilizing basic hand tools and wires to wrap stones to produce beautiful, wearable jewelry. Artisan wire wrapped jewelry is not mass produced or soldered, and most pieces are created individually by hand, imprinting the artist’s unique vision on each piece. There are many unique styles of wire wrapped stone jewelry from simple cage wraps to woven “heady” wraps containing many stones.
We have members who wrap stone jewelry at every style and skill level and we encourage you to try your hand at it. We have curated articles and tutorials to help you on your way. Be sure to share pictures of your journey so we can admire your work and offer help and advice if needed.
